MILWAUKEE, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Marquette's Todd Mayo and Jae Crowder combined for 41 points Saturday and the 11th-ranked Golden Eagles bested Northern Colorado 93-72.
Mayo -- who started in place of suspended leading scorer Darius Johnson-Odom -- added five rebounds and four assists. Crowder notched a double-double with 11 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (10-0).
Marquette won a 10th straight to start the season for the first time since 2001-02 thanks to accurate shooting in the first half. The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 20-8 lead and cruised the rest of the way.
Also scoring in double-digits were Vander Blue with 18 points, Davante Gardner with 14 and Jamil Wilson with 11.
The Bears (3-7) got 25 points from Tate Unruh and Tim Huskisson added 17.
