U.S. agents search Syracuse coach's office

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- U.S. agents searched the office of a former Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Wednesday, the New York Daily News reported.

Citing "a source close to the case," the newspaper said investigators from U.S. Attorney Richard Hartunian's office and Secret Service agents searched the campus office of Bernie Fine in an investigation of child sex abuse allegations.

The reported search came after a similar warrant was carried out Friday at Fine's DeWitt, N.Y., home.

Three men -- including former Syracuse ball boy Bobby Davis and his stepbrother Mike Lang -- have accused Fine of sexually abusing them when they were minors. The longtime assistant to head Coach Jim Boeheim was fired Sunday by Syracuse Chancellor Nancy Cantor.

The family of a fourth alleged victim has come forward with more allegations, a sex abuse counselor told the Daily News.
