COL BKB: Kentucky 88, Radford 40

LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Terrence Jones led No. 2 Kentucky to a 14-0 start and finished with 17 points Wednesday in the Wildcats' 88-40 thrashing of Radford.

All five Kentucky starters scored in double figures and the Wildcats held Radford to 26 percent shooting. The Highlanders made only 2-of-25 attempts from 3-point range.

Kentucky ran its record to 5-0, getting 15 points and nine rebounds from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Marquis Teague added 13 points for the Wildcats, Anthony Davis had 12 and Doron Lamb scored 10.

Almost 10 minutes elapsed before Radford scored a point and Kentucky went on to build a 45-14 halftime lead. Radford (3-4) was led by Jonathan Edwards with 10 points.

Kentucky has games remaining against Portland State and St. John's before taking on top-ranked North Carolina Dec. 3.
