Two games that were supposed to be included with the console were missing.

The teen and his family turned the cash over to police, The Daily Mail reported. There were 65,400 euros in notes, the equivalent of 43,900 pounds or $90,000 at current rates.

The package also includes the Sony PS2.

The 16-year-old found the cash on March 20. But police only announced the find this week. In June, a Norwich magistrate gave investigators permission to hold the cash for three months under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The family could claim the cash if the owner is not found.

"Our economic Crime Unit is looking into the audit trail to establish where this money came from," said Jon Smith, a spokesman for the Norfolk Police. "It is a live inquiry at the moment and I cannot say too much, but nobody has been arrested."
