LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Kevin Spacey will promote his movie biography of Bobby Darin by singing Darin's music in a 12-city U.S. tour, Hollywood columnist Army Archerd said Thursday.

"Beyond the Sea" -- which Spacey directed and stars in -- is scheduled to screen at the Toronto Film Fest Sept. 11, and then to open in New York and Los Angeles Nov. 24, expanding into other markets during December.

Spacey told Archerd the live show, "An Evening Celebrating the Music of Bobby Darin," will feature a 19-piece band. The show is being produced by Phil Ramone, a nine-time Grammy-winning recording engineer and producer who has collaborated with such legendary artists as Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Madonna, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand.

The show will be presented by Clear Channel.
