CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the western coast of Mexico Tuesday in the Revilla Gigedo Islands region, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake, about 3 miles deep, struck in the Pacific Ocean about 208 miles south of the popular resort Cabo San Lucas and about 259 miles west of Puerto Vallarta, another tourist destination, the USGS said.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake posed no tsunami threat.
