FOX LAKE, Ill., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- A teacher at an Illinois high school has been charged with giving two 14-year-old girls drugs and alcohol in exchange for housework, police said.
Kym Krocza, 41, a teacher at Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, faces two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, the Crystal Lake Northwest Herald reported. She was released on $50,000 bail.
The school's Web site said Krocza, a math teacher, was suspended after her arrest Tuesday and has been banned from entering the school grounds or having any contact with students.
Krocza allegedly invited the girls, both freshmen at the school last year, to her home and gave them liquor, marijuana and Zoloft. Police began an investigation after a parent complained.
"She befriended them before they were even students of hers," Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran said. "She enticed them with Zoloft, marijuana and alcohol, and they
would come over and do favors in terms of cleaning up her house."
Krocza faces up to six years in prison if convicted. Curran said the investigation is continuing and more charges are possible.
