Young fashion model killed in car crash

NEW YORK, July 30 (UPI) -- Nineteen-year old Heather Bratton, a striking fashion model bearing a resemblance to Kate Moss, died in a fiery car crash on a New Jersey highway.

The New York Post reported Bratton was killed on July 22 after a Manhattan photo shoot when her car-service limo broke down on the New Jersey Turnpike and was rear-ended by a Toyota SUV. Both cars then erupted into flames, the newspaper said. The limo driver was severely burned.

Authorities did not identify Bratton immediately, but news of her untimely death quickly seeped into the fashion world.

Known for her dark, haunting eyes and strong cheekbones, Bratton, during her brief career, strutted down catwalks in Milan and Paris, modeling for Prada, Gucci, Burberry and Chanel, the Post said.

Bratton, a devoted Christian, is survived by her family: a father, mother and four brothers and sisters.
