The victim and three friends were walking in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn when they were surrounded by a group of teenagers. The friend told police after they refused to give up the iPod the teens began hitting them and someone stabbed Christopher Rose in the chest, mortally injuring him.

"I would like to see the actual, bloodthirsty culprit, the one who had the guts to turn the dagger on my son, stopping his heart," his mother, Sharon Rose, told Channel 7.
