RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Saudi Arabian security forces have arrested the brother of a slain terrorist on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities, officials said Saturday.
Interior Ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Mansour Turki said the suspect has been under surveillance and was taken into custodyin the city of Taif. in western Saudi Arabia. for interrogation.
"This man is the brother of one of the terrorists figuring on the list of 26 most wanted suspects in the kingdom who was killed in a confrontation with police," Turki said.
He said the brother was surprised when police surrounded his house in Taif where he surrendered without incident.
The official Saudi list of 26 terrorists was issued in December 2003. At least six have surrendered to benefit from a royal amnesty, 10 others are still being sought, while the remainder have been killed in confrontations with police.
