Diana's butler invited to royal ceremony

LONDON, May 31 (UPI) -- Princess Diana's butler, Paul Burrell, has been issued an invitation to attend the opening of a fountain in London in memory of the princess.

The Sun reported Monday that while Burrell, as a member of the Princess Diana Memorial Fund, was included on the guest list, he is being kept at arm's length.

"The royal family want nothing to do with him," a source told the Sun. "He will not get anywhere near the royal family."

The source added that Burrell will be seated among the 200 guests as far away as possible from the queen and will be barred from approaching Princes William and Harry.

The guest list for the ceremony to be held London's Hyde Park on July 6 was drawn up by the Department of Culture.
