Fossett continues to cross S. Pacific

ST. LOUIS, June 22 (UPI) -- Balloonist Steve Fossett descended below the storm clouds as he continued his trip over the South Pacific Saturday in his bid to become the first solo balloonist to circle the globe. Joe Ritchie, mission control chief at Washington University, said Fossett was cruising at 21 mph at 1,300 feet above the sea waiting for weather to turn more favorable.
