Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Kylian Mbappe showed off his unparalleled speed for a goal in Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 win against Manchester United in a round of 16 Champions League clash on Tuesday at Old Trafford.

The score came in the 60th minute of the first leg match in Manchester, England.

PSG and United played to a scoreless first half before Presnel Kimpembe drew first blood in the 53rd minute.

Angel Di Maria fired in a corner kick during that sequence. Di Maria's in-swinger curled to the back post for the left back. Kimpembe came flying in and chopped the feed down with his left boot, beating Red Devils keeper David de Gea.

Mbappe's dead sprint came just seven minutes later. Di Maria also had the assist on that score. The Argentine star dribbled the ball down the left flank as Mbappe scorched through the Red Devils defense down the middle of the pitch.

Di Maria had the ball about 20 yards ahead of his teammate, but Mbappe caught up to the play, allowing Di Maria to lead him into the box for a tap in goal past de Gea.

"The ground he makes up to get in the box is ... for all of the strikers that want to be out there, that's how to get in the box and get those five or six extra goals I've been talking that our strikers should try to get," Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solkjaer told reporters.

PSG returns to Ligue 1 play before the second leg against the Red Devils on March 6 in Paris.
