Three-fifths of the starting lineup for the defending champion Golden State Warriors will be part of the Western Conference All-Star squad after forward Draymond Green and guard Klay Thompson were announced as reserves Thursday.

The duo join teammate Stephen Curry, a guard starting his third straight All-Star Game, on the West team for the contest in Toronto on Feb. 14.

Golden State has three All-Stars for the first time since 1976, when Rick Barry, Phil Smith and Jamaal Wilkes represented the team. That was the year after the Warriors won their most recent championship until the current squad beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals last season.

Green tops the league with leads the eight triple-doubles, one shy of the franchise's single-season record set by Tom Gola in 1959-60.

Thompson is second in the NBA (trailing only Curry) with 140 3-pointers, and he is making 42.7 percent of his long-distance attempts, tied for in the league.

Also announced as reserves for the West are Houston Rockets guard James Harden, Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge and Sacramento Kings forward/center DeMarcus Cousins.

Guard DeMar DeRozan of the host Raptors is among the players chosen as Eastern Conference reserves. Also tabbed to the squad are Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler, Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas, Washington Wizards guard John Wall, Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh, Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap and Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond.

The reserves were selected by the NBA's 30 head coaches. The coaches were prohibited from voting for players on their own team.

Bosh will be playing his 11th consecutive All-Star Game, and it will be in the city where he spent his first seven NBA seasons. His streak of consecutive All-Star berths is fourth among active players behind the runs of Los Angeles Lakers forward Kobe Bryant (18 in a row), Heat guard Dwyane Wade (12 in a row) and Cavaliers forward LeBron James (12 in a row).

Starters for the game were previously announced. The starters for the East are Wade, James, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Indiana Pacers forward Paul George.

Joining Curry among the West starters is Bryant, who plans to retire after the season. The Oklahoma City Thunder have two All-Star starters, guard Russell Westbrook and forward Kevin Durant, and the West lineup is rounded out by San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard.

Drummond and Thomas will be in an All-Star Game for the first time.
