SAN JOSE, Calif., March 28 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau netted a goal and posted three assists Saturday, pacing the San Jose Sharks to a 4-2 win over Vancouver.

The Sharks also got goals from Joe Pavelski, Dany Heatley and Ryane Clowe while Evgeni Nabokov made 35 stops in the victory, the third straight for the Sharks. The win gave them 102 points on the season, two ahead of Phoenix for first place in the Western Conference.

But the win came at a price. Joe Thornton left the game with 4:37 to play in the second period after falling into the boards on a push by Vancouver's Alexander Edler. The Sharks star apparently injured his right leg.

Also, Manny Malhotra left the game after he was hit in the face with the puck.

Alexandre Burrows notched a goal and an assist and Daniel Sedin also tallied for the Canucks, losers of four in their last six.

Roberto Luongo was 26-of-29 in the nets in Vancouver's defeat.
