NHL: San Jose 4, Vancouver 2

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton and Jonathan Cheechoo scored in a 3:20 span Monday, producing a third-period explosion San Jose rode to a 4-2 win over Vancouver.

Steve Bernier got the first goal for the Sharks, who came back from a 1-0 second-period deficit after a scoreless first period. Evgeni Nabokov made 24 saves in the win for San Jose, which has won two of its last three games.

Taylor Pyatt and Henrik Sedin scored for the Canucks, who had won three of four coming into the game. Roberto Luongo made 30 saves in the loss.
