NHL: Detroit 7, Calgary 4

DETROIT, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg had two goals and two assists for his first four-point game of the season Sunday as the Detroit Red Wings beat Calgary, 7-4.

Mathieu Schneider, Jason Williams and Tomas Holmstrom each had a goal and an assist; Pavel Datsyuk and Johan Franzen scored once each; Niklas Lindstrom had two assists; and rookie goaltender Joey MacDonald stopped 16 of 20 shots to earn his first NHL victory for the Red Wings, who have won six of their last seven games and 12 straight at home.

Detroit scored three times in both the first and second periods to build a 6-1 lead.

Roman Hamrlik had a goal and an assist; while Alex Tanguay, Jeff Friesen and Mark Giordano each scored once for Calgary.

Goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff allowed three goals on 14 shots in the first period, before being pulled for Jamie McLennan, who gave up four goals on 36 shots for the Flames, who have four straight losses.
