MLB: N.Y. Yankees 7, Toronto 2

, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada hit solo home runs Wednesday night as the New York Yankees beat Toronto, 7-2, for their third straight win.

Alex Rodriguez had one run, three hits and two RBI; both Jeter and Posada had one run, two hits and two RBI; Johnny Damon hit an RBI single; and Bobby Abreu had two hits for the Yankees (63-41), who have won seven of their last eight games.

In eight scoreless innings, winner Chien-Ming Wang (13-4) gave up four hits, walked three batters and struck out three. He won his fifth straight decision.

Troy Glaus belted a two-run homer in the ninth inning, and Vernon Wells had a run and two hits for the Blue Jays (57-50), who have lost four straight and eight of their last 11 games.

Loser Ted Lilly (9-10), a former Yankee, surrendered 10 hits and five runs in 5 1/3 innings.
