LONDON, June 14 (UPI) -- Rafael Nadal of Spain, American Andy Roddick and Australian Lleyton Hewitt were second-round winners at the Stella Artois Championships in London.
Nadal, who won the French Open last weekend, beat Mardy Fish of the United States, 7-6 (7-1), 6-1. Roddick, a reigning three-time champion in this tournament and the No. 3 seed, topped Frank Dancevic of Canada, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The eighth-seeded Hewitt beat unseeded Fernando Vicente of Spain, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
Other seeded winners included No. 2 Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia, sixth-seeded Fernando Gonzalez of Chile and ninth-seeded Robby Ginepri of the United States.
Losers included No. 4 Nikolay Davydenko of Russia, No. 7 Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic, 11th-seeded Sebastien Grosjean of France, No. 13 Gael Monfils of France and 15th-seeded Dmitry Tursunov of Russia.
