TIPPIN SHOWS PATRIOTISM IN SONG

Aaron Tippin will appear on CMT Most Wanted Live Wednesday, Sept. 26. Tippin will sing his new single, "Where The Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly." He is donating all proceeds from the single to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts after the tragedies on Sept. 11. The single of "Stars and Stripes" is backed with Tippin's successful hit "You've Got To Stand For Something."

CMT Most Wanted Live is broadcast from the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville and is free and open to the public.

KEITH'S No. 1

Toby Keith will attend a Number One Party for his "I'm Just Talkin' About Tonight" at BMI in Nashville on Wednesday, Oct. 3. Joining Keith will be friends, writers, and label staff.


OPRY ON THE CHARTS

Alison Krauss & Union Station check in at No. 5 on the Billboard Country Album charts with "New Favorite." Alan Jackson holds steady at No. 14 with "When Somebody Loves You" while Travis Tritt is at No. 18 with "Down The Road I Go." The "Down From The Mountain" CD featuring Opry members Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Whites and Emmylou Harris is at No. 19.

Alan Jackson is at No. 2 with his new single "Where I Come From" and Trisha Yearwood is up one to No. 4 with "I Would've Loved You Anyway." Travis Tritt's "Love of a Woman" is up four to No. 10 and Reba checks in at No. 11 with "I'm A Survivor." Martina McBride's "When God Fearin' Women Get The Blues" is at No. 15.

In a special re-entry on the charts, Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" hit the charts this week at No. 16.
