On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Perry voiced her love for American Idol but said she is ready to spread her wings.

"I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I love Idol so much. It's connected me with the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse to my own beat."

Perry will perform at Rock in Rio music festival in Brazil in September. She also teased new music on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, saying it will be "a very, very exciting year for all pop star girlies."
