LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Cara Delevingne recently posed as Enchantress for Empire magazine.

The 23-year-old English model-turned-actress revealed her dramatic look in a cover shoot for the publication's December issue. Delevingne will play the character, aka June Moone, in the forthcoming movie Suicide Squad, and discussed the role in the interview.

"She's an ancient sorceress," the star said. "A feral being. She's been trapped for so long and now she's finally let out. June is an adventure-seeker who's always wanted some excitement. And she gets what she wished for, in a terrible way."

In the DC Comics, Moone is an artist who transforms into the powerful sorceress Enchantress by saying "The Enchantress" aloud. Delevingne previously discussed the character on Late Night with Seth Meyers in July.

"I'm actually playing two different parts," she revealed. "I'm playing opposites -- a mousy scientist and a crazy, feral witch -- which is great, both sides of my personality."

Suicide Squad opens in theaters Aug. 5, 2016. Jared Leto co-stars as the Joker, with Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
