NEW YORK, June 17 (UPI) -- "Shut up, dummy!"
In a video posted on CBS, the soon-to-be Late Show host launched into a hilarious bit where he rambled on about the changes Trump will introduce to America if elected.
"This will be the finest, most luxurious gold-plated, diamond-encrusted campaign that will give hope to a weary nation until together we reach that fine fall day when the new season of Celebrity Apprentice premieres," Colbert said as he teased, what People magazine called, the "over-the-top" announcement Trump gave. "And if elected, Trump will be in his own word, 'the greatest jobs president that God ever created.'"
Colbert still has three months until he begins his new duty as show host on Sept. 8, but during his speech he assured fans that as long as Trump was trying to make waves in the political realm it will be a "great thing for late night television."
