'Lost' cast named Entertainer of 2005

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Entertainment Weekly Thursday announced its Entertainer of the Year is the entire cast of ABC's hit series, "Lost."

The magazine called the series about plane crash survivors stranded on a mysterious island one of the "biggest cult breakouts since 'The X-Files.'"

The star of the film "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and NBC's "The Office," Steve Carrell, came in second followed by Hollywood actress Naomi Watts, star of Peter Jackson's remake "King Kong."

Rapper Kanye West was named fourth followed by TV and screen star Felicity Huffman. No. 6 was screenwriter, actor, director and producer George Clooney, who the magazine praised as "a man of both passion and principle."

Rounding out Entertainment Weekly's Top 10 Entertainers of 2005 are actor Vince Vaughn, singer Gwen Stefani, the fictional boy wizard "Harry Potter" and Hollywood newcomer Terrence Howard.
