The iX104C5 DMSR-M rugged tablet is built to meet military specifications. It can withstand a 7-foot drop and has a sunlight-readable display. It operates without interrupting radio signals, can provide real-time video streaming and has the capability to interface with specialized equipment.

"Our products are the only truly upgradeable and field replaceable rugged tablet PCs that offer high reliability, a low failure rate and a fast processing speed that enable military personnel to execute mission plans in the most challenging conditions and, in some cases, save lives," said Mark Holleran, president and chief operating officer for Xplore Technologies.

The tablet PCs will be delivered within the next two months, the company said.
