Dec. 10 (UPI) -- The trailer for Lana and Andy Wachowski's epic sci-fi adventure debuted Tuesday, giving audiences the first glimpse of Channing Tatum's elf-like ears and blonde goatee.

In Jupiter Ascending, which looks as large in scope as the Wachowskis' The Matrix series, stars the 33-year-old actor and one-time Sexiest Man Alive as a human-wolf hybrid who visits Earth in search of a woman fated to inherit the universe. Kunis plays a janitor named Jupiter Jones, who has no idea that she's so genetically blessed.

Tatum recently described the Wachowskis unusually ambitious filming style:

"It's crazy -- it's a tough movie," he said. "We're trying to do stuff that's never been done before, in three different aspects. We're trying to do stuff that's never been done in CG before, we're doing stuff with cameras that's never been done before, and we're trying to do stuff with stunts -- like, actual, real stuff so we don't have to use a bunch of CGI stuff."

Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Douglas Booth, and Doona Bae also star.

Here's the film's official synopsis:
