Even a heart attack didn't keep 63-year-old Jerry "The King" Lawler from the ring for good.
Lawler, a wrestler and longtime WWE commentator, suffered a heart attack in September 2012 during an episode of Monday Night Raw, according to the WWE.
The next month, he was back to hosting events. But sitting outside the ropes wasn't good enough. Lawler's doctor cleared him to get in on the action, and "The King" will make his first official comeback on May 25, the Miami Herald reports.
The King, a native Memphian, got to practice his signature pile driver in the meantime, tossing a Clippers fan to the floor during a time out in game 3 of the Memphis Grizzlies - Los Angeles Clippers playoff series. But to be cleared, he had to cut back on eating fried chicken -- a dish he used to enjoy five times a week, according to WMC-TV.
Lawler opened a wrestling museum in Memphis last month packed with WWE memorabilia from his own wrestling career and the history of professional wrestling as a whole.
Lawler will team up with 72-year-old Dory Funk Jr., a fellow hall-of-famer. The match will take place in Ocala, Fla.
