Kensington Palace announced the newborn's name, whose full title is, Her Royal Highness Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge, on Twitter Monday morning.
On Saturday May 2 at 8:34 a.m., Kate Middleton gave birth to the 8-pound 3-ounce baby girl. Princess Charlotte is fourth in line to the British throne, after her grandfather, Prince Charles; her father, Duke of Cambridge William; and her brother, Prince George.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.

The name Elizabeth is after her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II and her third name, Diana, is a tribute to the royal baby's late grandmother, Princess Diana, who was killed in a tragic car accident in 1997.
