Built with sustainability in mind, the $193 million project included the installation of "a 345 kilowatt (kW) photovoltaic array, light-emitting diode (LED) site lighting, and water reuse from an on-site wastewater treatment plant to irrigate site plantings," the State Department noted.

Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy, Ambassador James Brewster, and Principal Deputy Director of the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations Heather Townsend were on hand for Tuesday's dedication.
