TRENTO, Italy, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- A homemade bomb which exploded outside a Trento, Italy, court, broke windows but caused no injuries, police said Tuesday.

The blast early Tuesday involved a gas tank for home use, and targeted the northern Italian city's "surveillance court," which ensured sentences involving parole and bail are being carried out, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

Police said it may have been the work of anarchist or anti-capitalist groups, although no group has claimed responsibility.
