Teens allegedly taped together by teacher

MONCTON, New Brunswick, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Canadian police are investigating a mother's claim her child was duct taped to a classmate as punishment by their teacher.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are investigating whether the two children were in fact taped together at the wrist because, the mother said, the students weren't getting along. She said her child came home with a bruised wrist and when she asked what had happened, her daughter said she'd been taped to a classmate by her teacher.

The girl said a teacher at her Moncton, New Brunswick, middle school wrapped their wrists in paper towel, then taped the two girls together, Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday.

School officials and the teacher in question declined comment on the investigation.
