CHENGDE, China, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- At least seven people died in a collision between a truck and a tractor rural northern China Saturday, authorities in Hebei Province said.
Another 10 people were hurt in the head-on crash in the city of Chengde.
China's official Xinhua news agency said 17 people were riding on the tractor when the crash occurred. Three people were killed at the scene and four died at a hospital.
Chengde officials said in a statement police detained the truck driver and the collision was under investigation.
