ROME, May 10 (UPI) -- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has agreed to a divorce settlement with his second wife, former actress Veronica Lario, The Times of London reported.
Details of the deal have not been announced, however, reports indicate Lario would keep her mansion near Milan, but would receive "considerably less" than the $4.45 million she sought for monthly maintenance, The Times reported Sunday.
Legal sources told The Times the couple, who began their liaison 30 years ago and had children while Berlusconi was married to his first wife, had "coldly shaken hands" after lengthy discussions at the Milan courthouse.
Lario, 53, announced a year ago she was divorcing Berlusconi after 20 years of marriage, saying she couldn't stay with a man "who frequents minors" after he was at the 18th birthday party of Noemi Letizia, an aspiring actress and model and gave her a gold-and-diamond necklace. Lario said that he was "not a well man," saying he suffered from sex addiction, The Times reported.
Media mogul Berlusconi denied having an affair with Letizia or other underage girls.
Berlusconi's worth is estimated at $6.4 billion to $10.2 billion. Published accounts said he wanted to avoid a court battle over the division of assets between the three children he had with Lario and the two children he had with his first wife, Carla Dall'Oglio.
