Obama to mark NAACP 100th anniversary

NEW YORK, July 16 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama will help the NAACP celebration of its 100th anniversary in a trip to New York.

Obama was to deliver remarks Thursday to the NAACP at its 100th anniversary convention at the Hilton New York, the White House daily schedule indicates.

Before delivering remarks to the civil rights, Obama will deliver remarks at a fundraiser for New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine. He also was to attend a Democratic fundraiser
