Colombia seizes 1.2 tons of cocaine

BOGOTA, April 27 (UPI) -- Colombian maritime authorities seized 1.2 tons of cocaine found on a speedboat off the country's coast, apparently bound for Panama.

Four suspects on the boat were arrested Sunday, El Tiempo newspaper reported.

The street value of the drugs was reported at about $27 million.

In another case, on Saturday, the Colombian navy seized a boat that was carrying 2.5 tons of cocaine to Mexico.
