Obama leads in Electoral College

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- U.S. President-elect Barack Obama had 302 electoral votes to Republican rival John McCain's 139 with 39 states and the District of Columbia reporting.

Obama, a Democratic senator from Illinois, won the presidential election by receiving well over the 270 electoral required. Here's the breakdown:
