Sisters offer information on missing child

PRAIA DA LUZ, Portugal, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Two sisters say they saw suspicious looking men near the apartment of Madeleine McCann shortly before she disappeared in Portugal in May.

Annie Wiltshire and Jayne Jensen, both of Britain, were staying at the same resort in Praia da Luz, Portugal, as Madeleine's family when she disappeared May 3, The Telegraph reported Saturday.

Wiltshire and Jensen said police ignored them when they tried to report seeing a man they thought was Robert Murat, a formal suspect in the case, outside the McCann's vacation apartment the night Madeleine vanished.

Murat, 33, has denied any involvement in her disappearance. Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, also have been named suspects in her disappearance.

Wiltshire and Jenson also claim they saw two blond, tanned men acting suspiciously near the McCanns' apartment the day Madeleine disappeared, the Telegraph reported.

"They just felt that they looked odd," said a source close to the investigation.

The sisters said they finally were able to give their information to British authorities two months ago.
