ST. GEORGE, Utah, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- The mayor of a Missouri town has been charged with possession of child pornography.
St. George residents learned of Harold Goodman's arrest when his replacement, Acting Mayor Heather Hediger, read a statement at a Board of Aldermen meeting last week, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
Many were frightened by the news.
"I about cried when I heard the acting mayor's announcement," Clark said. "I've watched the mayor on our streets in the summertime while my daughter and the other little girls went up and down between the pools on our street in their swim suits. He's around and he's been around. That's a big, big concern."
Hediger said Goodman had handed over the keys to city hall and all city-issued credit cards before his arrest.
Goodman was freed on bail the day after his arrest. Police have seized his computer.
