Man arrested in connection with kidnapping

PRAIA DA LUZ, Portugal, May 17 (UPI) -- A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the disappearance of 4-year-old Madeleine McCann in Praia Da Luz, Portugal.

Russian native Sergey Malinka was arrested after it emerged that he set up a Web site for British suspect Robert Murat, Britain's The Sun newspaper reported.

"I did do some work for Robert and found him a really cool guy," said Malinka, 22. "He wanted a Web site created and I did a lot of work getting it together for him."

But, he said he has nothing to do with the young girl's disappearance.

Minutes after being interviewed, Malinka was taken into custody by detectives and it was learned that he had prior convictions for sex offenses, The Sun reported.

Police are reportedly conducting a search of Malinka's home and another property in nearby La Goa. It is also believed that Malinka moved to another flat above his computer shop that has yet to be searched.
