Former JonBenet Ramsey suspect in Ga.

ATLANTA, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- John Mark Karr, the former teacher cleared as a suspect in the 1996 killing of JonBenet Ramsey, is living with his father in Atlanta.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that some of Karr's neighbors are nervous about having him around.

Michele Collins told the newspaper that she does not expect Karr to be in the neighborhood long. But she also said she would call police if she sees him on the street.

"This is a very strong community," Collins said. "Parents are very involved. I think somehow it will be uncomfortable for him to stay. His quality of life will not be so good."

Karr's father said he has been living in the area for 55 years and intends to stay there.

Karr was arrested in Thailand. He allegedly made admissions that he was with 6-year-old JonBenet the night she was killed, but his DNA did not match evidence in the case and he proved to have an alibi.

He fled the country to avoid prosecution for child pornography. Those charges were dropped earlier this month because investigators had lost the computer that contained the alleged pornographic images.
