LANSING, Mich., March 25 (UPI) -- Michigan's House of Representatives has approved displaying the Ten Commandments in government and school buildings.
The 74-34 vote sends the measure to the Senate, where leaders say they will wait for a Supreme Court ruling before acting on the measure, the Detroit News reported Friday.

The high court is expected to rule later this year in a case combining lawsuits from Kentucky and Texas.
"It wouldn't be prudent to vote on it before the Supreme Court decided," said Ari Adler, spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Ken Sikkema, R-Wyoming.
The House measure passed with support from 58 Republicans and 16 Democrats.
