BOGOTA, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Eleven people were killed and over 20,000 left homeless by flooding in northeastern Colombia, said a report released Saturday.
Heavy rains that started earlier in the week are responsible for the flooding along rivers in Santander state.

Neighboring Venezuela has also been a casualty of the rains that caused mudslides and flooding.
A reported 26 were killed following the rains in Venezuela while thousands have been displaced or lost their homes.
