BOSTON, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- A Norwood, Mass., man is accused of stabbing another, stoning him and leaving him to be run over by a train for dating a black woman, says a report.

Dimitri Long, 28, was charged with assault with intent to murder, mayhem, and civil rights violations, said prosecutor Lynn Beland.

The official said a knife and a lit cigarette were used in the September attack against the 20-year-old white male whose name was not disclosed, WCVB-TV, Boston reported.

Authorities alleged Long was angry the victim had once dated a black woman. Long and two others, including Long's girlfriend, confronted the victim after smashing the windows to his house, they alleged.

Later, the victim managed to drag himself to a nearby gas station, where he called his father for help.

Long was being held on a $200,000 bond. The other two defendants have already been charged.
