Iran doesn't think Israel will strike

NICOSIA, Cyprus, July 27 (UPI) -- Iranian officials say their intelligence services have determined Israel is unlikely to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities.

The Middle East Newsline reported Tuesday Iran cited an Israeli assessment that Iran is still three years away from achieving nuclear weapons and Israel lacks the support of the international community -- including the United States -- for such a strike.

"There is a slight prospect that Israel will attack us," Iranian Intelligence Minister Ali Yunesi said. "Still, Iran has thought of the measures needed to repulse all attacks."

The Daily Telegraph based in London reported Tuesday that Iran has resumed the construction and testing of components capable of producing fissile material for nuclear weapons.
