Nine dead in Turkey quake

ERZURUM, Turkey, March 26 (UPI) -- The death toll from Thursday's earthquake that hit eastern Turkey rose to nine Friday, incuding four children, says a report.

The quake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, rocked several towns in the area,Andolu News Agency reported. At least 46 others were injured.

The children died after being trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings.

Elementary schools and high schools were recessed Friday.

Search and rescue teams ended their relief efforts in the quake zone Friday.
