Speaking at a town hall meeting in Hollywood in South Florida, he said, "This president promised us he'd protect Social Security, but instead he protected his campaign contributors by raiding the Social Security trust fund to pay for their tax giveaways.

"This president promised us a prescription drug plan that would stop America's seniors from being forced to choose between their medicine and their groceries, but instead his prescription was a Medicare bill that is nothing but a $139 billion giveaway to the big drug companies."
