Palace releases baby photos

LONDON, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Buckingham Palace in London has released the first official photos of Lady Louise Windsor, the infant of Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

The official photographs were taken by the baby's uncle, Prince Andrew, at Sandringham over Christmas.

One photo has the baby dressed in white and nestled in the arms of her parents, the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

One picture of Lady Louise was released free of charge, but the remaining three images will be sold with profits going to the Earl and Countess of Wessex Charitable Trust, the BBC reported.

The baby was born four weeks prematurely and weighed 4 pounds, 9 ounces when she was born, and had to stay more than 10 days in the hospital before being released.

Andrew became interested in photography while in the Royal Navy and published a book of mainly black-and-white pictures two years after buying his first camera in 1983.
