NEW YORK, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Miami's Chris Bosh and Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki were the highlight names announced Thursday as reserves for the NBA All-Star Game.
Only four of the 14 reserves selected by coaches around the league will be making their first trip to the mid-season showcase -- John Wall of Washington, Paul Millsap of Atlanta, DeMar DeRozan of Toronto and last season's rookie of the year Damian Lillard of Portland.
Bosh will be making his ninth consecutive appearance in the All-Star Game. He will also be joined on the bench of the Eastern Conference by Roy Hibbert of Indiana, Joakim Noah of Chicago and Joe Johnson of Brooklyn.
Other than Nowitzki and Lillard, those selected to the Western Conference team were LaMarcus Aldridge of Portland, Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers, Tony Parker of San Antonio along with James Harden and Dwight Howard of Houston.
No replacement was announced for the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, who was selected in fan balloting as a Western Conference starter but who is not expected to play due to a knee injury.
Golden State's Stephen Curry, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, Minnesota's Kevin Love and Blake Griffin of the Clippers will start for the West. The East starting lineup will be made up of Miami's LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, Indiana's Paul George, New York's Carmelo Anthony and Cleveland's Kyrie Irving.
The All-Star Game will be played Feb. 16 in New Orleans.
