NBA: Detroit 85, New Jersey 71

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Chauncey Billups notched 19 points and 10 assists as Detroit beat New Jersey 85-71 Tuesday night.

Richard Hamilton scored 18 points for Detroit, which has won three of its last four games. Rasheed Wallace, who grabbed 11 rebounds, and Tayshaun Prince both scored 13 points, while Ben Wallace added 10 points and 13 boards.

Richard Jefferson scored 18 points for New Jersey, which has lost two of its last three games. Vince Carter scored 13 points, while Jason Kidd and Nenad Krstic added 10 points apiece.

Detroit took off on a 14-0 run, capped by a fast-break slam by Antonio McDyess off a Carlos Delfino pass with 3:12 to go in the third quarter, for a 63-46 lead.
