Jessica Chastain teases Chris Hemsworth about losing 'Sexiest Man Alive' title

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Chris Hemsworth's reign as People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' is now over and his Huntsman: Winter's War co-star Jessica Chastain is rubbing it in.

On Tuesday, former soccer star and model David Beckham was officially named People magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive,' taking the title away from Hemsworth who won the distinction back in 2014.

Chastain began teasing the actor on Wednesday tweeting out, "Oh man...you must be devastated. I know how much this title meant to you," alongside a cover of People magazine announcing Beckham as the winner.

Hemsworth took the joke in stride responding back, "Thank u @jes_chastain for you kind words & timely reminder that I'm now over the hill," alongside a statement from The Avengers star joking about how devastated he was about the loss.

"Although I knew for the last 2 months this day would come, it still hurts. As I fade into my weathered wrinkled exterior, I hope my time will be remembered then forgotten then forgotten some more *(insert crying music)," the actor wrote before stating at the end, "P.S It's what's on the inside that counts. P.P.S. David Beckham is so dreamy and has cool tats."

Chastain then threw in one more jab just for good measure. "Isn't Beckham older than you?," the actress tweeted. " Don't sweat it Chris. You have an A+ personality and thats all that matters! ; )."

On Wednesday, Hemsworth and Chastain were seen fighting alongside each other in the new trailer for The Huntsman: Winter's War against Charlize Theron's Evil Queen Ravenna and her sister the Ice Queen played by Emily Blunt.

Chastain last made headlines earlier this month when she spanked Madonna onstage during her Rebel Heart tour.
